Working at the cutting edge of disciplines. My very personal thoughts, opinions and approaches with no claim to completeness – A Blog in and on movement in science | sport | arts.
Engineering degree at TU Graz, NTNU Trondheim, UNIS Svalbard.
I am holding an engineer degree and worked in material science using finite element methodes. I raced worldwide and represented Austria in ITU Triathlon and UIPM Modern Pentathlon. I have competed as a professional in 1. Deutsche Triathlon Bundesliga (Bayer Uerdingen), Italian Grand Prix (Ligerteam Venezia) and 2xFrench Irontour (Team MRSport). I managed a contemporary dance company (Tanzkompanie BWST) where I conceptualized and realized pieces on stage with international artists.
I received a 3-year dissertation stipend (Motorikstipendium, University of Graz) and returned to university in 2018 to finish my PhD degree. I am following a STEM approach in exploring muscle and tendon behavior in human and animal movement. Currently I am working on the cutting edge of disciplines at the Graz University of Technology and the University of Graz.
